Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
Divorce Decree
In my Divorce Decree, it states that the Apartment in Italy that we had purchased for my spouse's Mother to live in was to be sold upon my Mother-in-law's death and we would split the profit. Now 25 years later my Ex-Mother-in Law has passed on and I want to know what legal rights I have to persue the sale of the apartment. Can my Ex-wife be held in contempt of court if she does not sell....she is the Italian and lives in Texas and I live in Ky.

Re: Divorce Decree
You can move the court to enforce the order it issued in the decree. You can also move for her to be held in contempt. The difficulty will be getting her within the jurisdiction of the court again. Because she is in Texas, and I assume the divorce was in Kentucky, then you will run into some hurdles that require the assistance of an attorney.
