domestic couple splitting up, both want family pets
After living together for 8 yrs. my boyfriend and I are splitting up. He gave me 5 dogs 2 yrs ago, they are registered in my name. He paid vet bills and food. He will not let me have them, are they leagally mine if only my name is on the papers?

Since you were not married, partnership law may govern however there are so many varibles here that the best advice that I can give is to consult local counsel directly.
