earnings on non-marital money

Are earnings on non-marital income, such as a death benefit, considered marital property?

This type of income (in most cases) is a part of the marital estate if it is received during the marriage. Also interest on pre-marital bank accounts, etc. They are considered to be incme just as are wages, despite who earns it.
