Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
I've gotten an EPO against someone, but it's in the wrong county. At that time I had just moved and got an attorney that was fresh out of school and she told me that it would have to be started in the county I moved out of. I've since found out it has to be in the county where I live. We haven't had a final hearing yet because of delays of the person being served. Can I get this transferred to the right county? Or should I dismiss and refile in the correct county? This is a protection order in ky.

A domestic violence order (protection order) issued in one county is just as valid as one issued in another county. You can make the judge aware of the county you now live at the hearing.
