Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
We had to take our ex-daughter-in-law to court in Indiana about 2 years ago. She lived there with our 2 grand daughters, we live in North Carolina. We were awarded very specific grandparent rights. She has since moved to Kentucky & does not comply with the Indiana order. She is extremely difficult to deal with. It is our understanding that we must have this order "Domesticated" in the state of Kentucky in order to have the order enforced? Is this correct? I have also talked to someone & found out it could cost about $2,000.00. Would it be possible to pursue her for our legal fees if this has to happen?
Thank you.

Yes, you would have to pursue Kentucky granting full faith and credit to the Indiana order to enforce it. Yes, it would cost somewhere in that range. You might shop around and get $500 or so less. Kentucky courts are very reluctant to award attorney fees.
