i am a 38 year old divorcee and have met a man online. he says he has filed for divorce but that was a year and a half ago. many obsticles seem to keep popping up. i am just trying to see if a petition was even filed for divorce. how to i go about doing this?

All of the information is public record. You do need to know where (county)it is supposed to be filed. Go to Circuit Clerk and ask about case.
