Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
My friend's x Husband was ordered to pay current and back child support several years ago by a Judge in California. He never complied. She had to move to Kentucky to stay with her family. Her 2 Daughters are now over 18. The x lives in Florida and is a Manager at a Walmart and is not supporting anyone but himself. She is in financial hardship and needs him to pay what the court ordered him to pay. There was a set amount of around $400.00 a month to pay off the settled amount of thousands of dollars. He mad a few payments after he was ordered to, years ago, and stoped. I think the court rulled 5 years ago. Ever since the x has claimed he is not working. I found out he is a Manager at a Walmart, and doing great. She can not afford to pay a Lawyer. She can not even pay her utilities right now. How can she go after him and make him pay what he aggreed on in the court system of California, and does it matter that she lives in Padukah Kentucky. Can she take care of this in a Kentucky court, or a Kentucky Lawyer.

She needs to contact the Child Support Division of her local county attorney and enlist their aid.
