Grandparents rights
The state of KY has had our grandson for 7 mo. and it dosnt look like the daughter is going ot get him back. We live in Fla and would like to know what are rights are in getting custody of the child. Also does the state have to ask of if we wnat custody of him before they make him a ward of the state.

No, KY is not required to obtain consent of grandparents in such cases. You are advised to contact the KY agency responsible for child protective services to determine what your rights are. If the children have been removed from your daughter, the state may be receptive to allowing you to visit or be included in the life of the children, depending on the issues with your daughter.
