Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
I have had guardianship of my husbands niece and nephew for the last 5 yrs. In a few months it will be 6 yrs. I have had the 2 kids in my home fully supporting them since they were 3 yrs and the baby was 5 months old. They baby calls me mommy and this is the only home she knows. Their fathers are completly out of the picture and have never provided support. Their moms calls and visits are very irregular. She has no means of supporting them and the only time she trys is when she has a new friend to take care of her since she has no home, car, or means of support for herself. What options do I have to get full custody and what are the chances of getting it against her constitutional "rights". She was the one signed guardianship to me and I had it granted by a judge to make it final.

You could try to get de facto custody of them which means since you acted like a parent for the last few years you should be treated like a parent in the eyes of the court. You could also try to do a step parent adoption. You should consult with an attorney for each of these matters.
