That's an extremely vague question. It's abnormal for a child to even be testifying in court in custody proceedings, so there could be special circumstances here. This is more of a question you should be directing to a counselor of some sort, and certainly, with your divorce/child custody attorney. But it is often obvious when a child's testimony has been coached by the adults in his or her life.
