hiring lawyer from another state

Hi, I am divorced from Missouri and now live in Kentucky. I am wanting to hire a lawyer to file a change of custody so that I may get full custody of my 2 daughters in Missouri. Will I need to hire a lawyer from Missouri or can I hire one from Kentucky since I now live in Kentucky?

if the children are in Missouri, you would need to litigate there, so you would need to hire an attorney licensed to practice in Missouri.
