Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

I am interested in gaining guardianship of my grandchildren. What do I need to do? For healthcare purposes they are currently on passport if I became legal guardian would they lose this?

You can file for guardianship in the district court. It may be possible for you to file for custody. You should consult with an attorney on these matters to determine your rights. As for Passport, you may be able to keep them as secondary insurance even if you have private, but you should consult with an attorney about this matter.
