Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
In Kentucky, my spouse and I want to get divorced due to irretrievably broken marriage. During the marriage, my father passed away and left me money as inheritance, which is a savings account in my name only, and which I believe is considered non-marital assets. I used some of the money to pay credit card bills accumulated by my spouse and me. Is the money I used paid to pay these family bills still considered mine? I would like to claim my ENTIRE inheritance on our settlement agreement, and I can prove the amount of the inheritance I received.

I seriously doubt you'd be able to make the case that you are entitled to credit for the non-marital money you've spent on marital debt.
