Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
What legal right does my ex have to force me to call him on the phone? We have unlimited TXT msgs. and he refuses to answer simple yes and no questions regarding the children via txt. Instead, he send the very same reply everytime I ask a question "Please call me regardng the well being of my children" I hate to call him, because he insists on beign spiteful and rude on the phone, reminding me that he's moved on in his intimate life, where I have not (I have, I just keep it private) I end up listening to him carry on..and have to wait till he feels like giving me an answer. Once I hung up because I was at work and really didn't have the time to hear him go on and on about his personal life. He then sent me a txt saying he'd hate to drag me to court for failure to communicate in the best interest of his children. I'm going out of my mind w/ this.... He's controlled everything in my life for nearly 15 yrs. I can't allow him to hold the cards on everything w/ the children as well. Please tell me this is right and what I can do

I can tell you that in Fayette County, Kentucky, the Family Court judges routinely order contact through email and or text messaging because it either gets people to be civil or creates evidence of their lack of civility. So, if he does "drag" you into court, that would be the likely result - at least for Fayette County. Personally, I would recommend to my clients to either use email soley or be sure to find some way to make photocopies of texts.
