Is it legal to record someone without their knowlege in the state of kentucky? this is relavent to a grandparent's rights custody case.

It can be. If one party to the conversation being recorded has given consent to the recording, then yes, it is legal. The parents of children can also give consent on behalf of their children, i.e. parents can record telephone conversations their children have with other parties. However, beware, as there is some disagreement whether one parent can record a telephone conversation the child has with the other parent.
