medical insurance claims

we have medical insurance on step daughter. Birth mother does not. She went to hospital. Insurance paid over 1,000 dollars. 1,000 dollars left. What is our responsibility to pay on this bill. What is birth mothers. Since we have insurance and she does not

This is usually spelled out in a Separation Agreement or in a child support order. Typically, the custodial parent takes care of the first $100.00 out of pocket expenses in a year and then the rest is split by percentage of income just like the child support calculations. However, you should review any court orders before proceeding.
