My boyfriend has a 13 year old son that no longer wants to live with his mother. They have joint custody and mom has physical possession of him. She talking about moving to Oaklohoma with a man she met on line. Is she legally able to just up and move him out of state if the father and son does not want to.

Re: Mother wanting to move out of state
She can unless the father files a motion to stop her. A move out of state means a change in visitation so, the father should file a motion to prevent this or to modify custody and make him residential parent. This can be done pro se but I suggest you consult a lawyer.
