Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

I moved in with a woman thats was going through a divorce after a few months her and her husband worked things out even though she was pregnant with my child. He signed the birth certificate and she refuses to give me a DNA. I know I was wrong sleeping with a married woman but I did see the papers were she filed for a divorce. Is there anything I can do to make her give me a DNA.

Yes. Once the child is born, go talk to the county attorney's child support division about filing the appropriate paperwork to establish paternity.

You may be able to either go through the county attorney's child support division or file through a private attorney to establish that you are the biological father, however, there has been discussions and cases dealing with this issue in Kentucky that might permit her to deny you access to the child's DNA since she was married when the child was born. I would suggest consulting with a private attorney about this situation as it could be more complicated than just requesting a DNA test.
