A parent goes for years withot seeing their child...no support no gifts maybe 2 calls a year(5years)
comes back, new boyfriend, new job still no contact unless child taken to see siblings. Father files for support, after 7 years, mother tells Judge he will not let me see my child, gets every other week-end (child has CP)grandmother has helped with him all this time, Aunts learned Cpr...we all worked with physical therepy daily....MOM..nothing......Now 5 years of every other week-end on her sofa,
watching movies with her boyfriends kids, never going anywhere with her...etc. she was late for the pick up in Feb. called and said she was somewhere out in the country, would call him later...bye.
WE found out that she left the boyfriend.....her son has heard from her one more time since then...still no address no visit etc.......Can her rights be terminated?...OH my son dropped the support long ago thinking she would go away......now she has.........She puts my grandson through He--.

There are a number of grounds for involuntary termination of parental rights and it sounds like you could prove that she has failed, for a substantial period of time to provide for the children and has abandoned them for substantial periods of time. However, you must prove that termination of parental rights is in the "best interest" of the children. That is usually very hard to do unless there is a step-parent who wants to adopt them and fill that role.
It is a difficult process to undertake, and it is not one that I suggest people try without an attorney.
