Paternity child support

My husband has recieved papers saying that he is the father of a 12 year old boy, he was one of posibly several men who could be this child's father, my husband was told by the woman and her family that they wanted nothing from him or to do with him and another man is listed on the birth certificate as the childs father and the child carries his last name, my husband was told that thhis man was the father and that he was not, and so was his mother and now 12 years later this woman is wanted to estblish paternity, my husband and I have 4 children of our o\wn and our only income is his SSI we recieve food stamps and medicaid, can he refuse the DNA testing based on this information, or what are our other options.

If your husband was properly served (an attorney would need to see the paperwork and how you received it to determine this), then he is under the jurisdiction of the court and would need to submit to the DNA test. However, if that is the only source of income, it is unlikely any child support would be ordered.
