private Adoption
I am looking to adopt my friends unborn baby,I need to know since we know each other,will we be paying the $1000s that other adoption cost?What will be involved

I'm afraid you'll be paying more than $1,000 unless you try to do it on your own. There must be a termination of parental rights, appointment of a Guardian ad Litem, approval through the proper agency, reports completed, and the adoption petition, affidavit, etc. Of course, there is also the issue of the father.
