Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
Property
Left husband 2 wks ago. Have a 6 yr old daughter. Have had 2 EPO's on him but judge dropped it. I need my clothes, etc out the house. We owe $1200. on the place and my name is also on the deed. Husband won't let me in to get things unless I sign over my car to him. Told him I would but want my things first. He said no way. I have worked all of our 8 yrs together and feel I have as much right to the house as he does. He is fighting me all the way. How can I get my things out of the house? Tried Womans Crisis Center, because he has a background of abuse and is an alcoholic. But they said I need a judges order to get an officer to go with me to get clothes and items for myself and daughter.Since the EPO was dropped they can't help me. Where do I turn?

Re: Property
I see this all of the time. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO SOLVE ANYTHING UNLESS YOU GET AN ATTORNEY AND FILE FOR DIVORCE. The steps you are taking are not going to address your problems and are going to cost you everything you have.. The EPO process was only created for temporary situations and to eliminate violence. Only the Circuit Court can address property issues. SEEK ADVICE FROM AN ATTORNEY.
