Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
Pro-Se Litigant Assistance
If an individual is unable to secure paid counsel and has had no success in securing a pro-bono attorney thus deciding to represent themselves can the individual be assisted by a non-attorney for the purposes of research and presentation of argument in court? (Family Court) I apologize for that run-on sentence.

Re: Pro-Se Litigant Assistance
You can get whatever assistance you like. The person assisting you is the one that needs to be sure they don't cross a line and practice law without a license. Looking stuff up is fine. It depends on what you mean about presentation of argument in court. If you are like Moses and stutter or have some problem speaking for yourself, then you can ask the judge if your brother Aaron can speak for you, but the other person needs to be clear that they are not providing legal services. It will be up to the judge whether they allow you to have this "advocate" with you in court.
