Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

I have two questions: I just received disability benefits from the government, and my ex-wife will be receiving a government check for our daughter that is slightly more than my base child support. In addition to the base child support, I am currently obligated to pay for one-half of my daughter's medical and child-care expenses. I will no longer be able to afford this on my fixed income. Am I still obligated to pay the extra amount? Or will everything have to be recalculated with my new income?

Also, my new wife has been struggling to pay my child support while I've been waiting to receive disability. We are current on support, but my ex will receive a lump sum in back pay for my daughter. Shouldn't I get this money back from her if I'm not in arrearage?

You need to make a motion to the court to get back the payments you made as soon as possible if she is going to receive a retro award, otherwise that money will be gone and then it will be difficult to collect. you also need to get your current support to come solely from the disability benefits your daughter receive as you should not be paying her directly anymore.
