am i responsible

i will have been divorced 2 yrs this march. my ex was sick with a kidney disease and recently died in a car accident. judge gave him 2 yrs to get my name off the house. he still hadnt done it. now that he has passed away am i liable for the amount owed on the house?

Yes, you are responsible for it in the eyes of the lender. You should file a claim for indemnity by his estate before the time frame to do so has closed. Since this potentially could be costly to you, it would be worthwhile to consult with an attorney.
