What rights or limitations are there, for the discipline of step-children?

Unless a court has issued a specific order in your situation, the legalities of disciplining any child in your care are the same whether it is a step-child or natural (biological and adoptive) child. However, wisdom dictates that a step-parent plays a supporting, rather than primary, discipline role and the natural parent be the one that takes the lead on discipline.
