Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Separation

Married 27 years. Wife extremely irate over belief of extramarital affair calls police under the pretense I am a physical threat. (grown daughters are present to refute this to police, who also believe me, but it was ''best for me to leave to let the situation calm.'' I reluctantly left knowing I had done nothing wrong. I never even raised my voice. The pattern (will) continues. What are my rights? Why should I be threatened to have to leave my own house? What should I do if this situation happens again. I have no record. There has never been any abuse, except for the verbal abuse I am now being subject to. Our children love us both and are caught in the middle. (13 yr. old son and 20 yr. old daughter at home)

Is there some stay or cease notification I can obtain?

Re: Separation

If your spouse has threatned you, this can be construed as domestic abuse and you could go to the courthouse to take out a protective order against her. You can also file a divorce or legal separation and ask for a similar type of protection in that action.
