Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

I have been served papers to appear in court on Monday regarding past child support payments. I have been unemployed since our divorce was finalized and was not aware that I had to petition the court to lower my child support payments. I have a friend who is an attorney that contacted my wifes attorney and apparently had a settlement worked out. He has not received the appropriate documents from my ex wifes attorney and so I am looking to appear in court on Monday. I am living on unemployment and have no savings thus I am forced to contact legal aide. I am sure that I can not get into legal aide the same day I contact them. How would I go about rescheduling the court date in such a short time frame?

It sounds like you have representation already. Your attorney should contact her attorney and ask to pass it to the next motion hour until an agreement can be reached.
