Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
shild support and warrant laws
I have a fugative from justice warrant for non pay of child support. They are currently garnishing my wages and i have not tried to run or swith jobs. Can they arrest me and send me back to Kentucky from Kansas for the warrent if I am Paying. Note that they child in question is 8 and the only time i have paid in the past was at my last job and they were garishing my pay. At the time they stoped the garnishment and filed the warrant. I was arrested in Missouri and my lawyer had the case dismissed. Not a cop is coming to my work wanting to arrest me even though the state of Kentucky is Garnishing my pay. What can I do to keep from being arrested and to just continue having my pay garnished. Please help. I have to call this police officer on tuesday with info.

I would contact an attorney to get this matter in front of the Court immediately and you may be able to resolve this without the need for a lengthy and expensive extradition problem. While they have not sought you yet, it may be because there are complicated issues involved that take time to work out before they can seek you.
