Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
My son and I live in KY (10 years). Original child support order was in IN (moved in son was 4mos old to KY). Have never modified the child support amount but need to now. How and where would I get that process started. Does KY have jurisdiction since we have lived here 10 yrs?

The answer to this depends on where the parent paying child support has resided. If he or she continued to reside in Indiana, then jurisdiction most likely remains there. If that parent has also left Indiana, then the jurisdiction would be Kentucky. It is a little more complicated than that, so it would be best for you to contact the County Attorney where you now live and talk to someone in their child support enforcement division.
