Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

student loans left off a divorce decree

my ex husband and I consolidated our student loans before we were married. we divorced (uncontested, no lawyers) and the student loans never ended up on the divorce decree. He refuses to pay on his thought the loans are still tied to his name. Can I get the divorce decree amended to include the loans so that he has to pay them as I have been?

If the loans do not appear to have been contemplated in the agreement, then they should be addressable by the court. It would be important for a lawyer to read the exact language of the settlement agreement.

Furthermore, it should be fairly straightforward what part belongs to whom.

This should be posed to a Kentucky lawyer.
