Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

support payments

i recvd a letter in the mail from the division of child support stating tha money will be deducted from my check for a child i know nothing about and have never even been to court for.i do know the mother but i haven't spoken to her in about 2 yrs and she never told me she was pregnant. what do i need to do in order to stop these pymts until i can find out if the child is mine and can they legally take money from me with out having me come to court?

If it's the Virginia Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE)which has (apparently) executed an assignment on your wages, you call the phone number on the notice of the assignment(if there is one)or call the district office which is responsible for your case and request to speak with the investigator who is currently assigned to your case.
