Violation of court order

Mother and father were never

married..Paternity

confirmed..Mediation completed but

not successful, the mother would not

allow father to see child as agreed to

in mediation...Father took mother to

court for visitation...Court orders

given....Mother still not allowing

father to see child as ordered by

court....says she never signed

anything...Does that really matter?

...What can the father and/ or the

court do now?

Re: Violation of court order

The father needs to file an ex parte motion to compel mother to appear in court and show cause why she should not be held in contempt. Attorney's refer to these as "show cause motions". You should look at your local court rules to see how your judge wants these pursued. In some counties, the Order to Show Cause is issued after the agrieved party files a motion for a "rule" with the court.
