Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
a will
I need help with a will. I have been told by an attorney at work that we can use a handwritten will that is witnessed by 2 people and this will hold up in court. Is this true? If not please help. DJ

Re: a will
Kentucky does recognize "holographic" wills. The entire will must be handwritten, dated, and signed. Two witnesses signatures certain helps but someone can testify as to the handwriting being yours. I caution you, though, the law of descent (inheritance) has lots of twists and turns so if you go this route, be sure to be as clear as possible what you want to happen to your estate.
