Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
Wondering if a lawyer is representing a client with 2 bench warrants against him is considered 'harboring a fugitive'?
My 3yr olds "Dad" has 2 warrants and has hired a lawyer to try to reduce his child support - which he doesn't pay. One warrant is contempt of court due to not showing up to court for a non-support hearing. The other is for not paying court fines related to assault charges. He has set up a court date (9/28) subpoenaing my daughters daycare enrollment records. I'm trying to figure out how to handle this situation. He doesn't pay child support but he can pay a private lawyer.

No, a lawyer representing a client with outstanding warrants is not harboring a fugitive. You may want to look into hiring one also or go into the Kentucky Revised Statutes online or at a library and start reading everything about child suppor in the 403 section. As for the daycare records, if he subpoena's them, they have to be produced.
