There are a lot of facts that need to be filled in to really help in this situation. For example, had a Kentucky court ever ruled on custody? Had you son lived in Kentucky for at least 6 months prior to Spring break? Were there allegations made in Ohio about abuse or neglect?

Depending on the facts, it might be fairly straightforward getting your son back. You need to go to your county bar association and see if they have a pro bono legal clinic (for free). If they don't, ask if they know of other legal clinics in your area for low income people.

The one thing you do not want to do is wait because you may miss deadlines for appeals.
