Legal Question in Employment Law in Kentucky
discrimination/wrongful termination
Last fall my employer wrongfully wrote me up but after taking my complaint to HR the writ up was removed. Now, 2 years after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes I have been give a termination letter stating that I have 90 days to get my DOT card (have been unable due to high blood sugar) or I will be fired. Currently I am the only one without a DOT card but have not been the only one in the past 2 years. No one else was ever threatened with termination. Will I be able to get unemployment and should I pursue discrimination?

Re: discrimination/wrongful termination
You should be eligible for unemployment and you may have a claim for discrimination based on your disability. You should consult with an attorney for more details regarding your specific circumstances. If you would like, I may be reached at [email protected] or at the telephone number in my profile.
