Legal Question in Employment Law in Kentucky
Fired unfairly, sexually harassed
I was hired by a general sales manager, He made sexual comments and advances toward me, called me on my cellphone and requested that we hang out. When i repeatdly rejected him he fired me and said that it was due to ''Slow business'' but he had hired me only 3 weeks before knowing that business was slow. He had also Promised me several times that my job was secure as long as i came to work. I came early every morning. He also kept the other girl he hired even though she was always late, didnt do her work, and left for hours at a time. I turned down 3 jobs because he up until the day he ''let me go'' assured job security. I had to go to the docotr and he asked me to come out and have a cigarrette with him. He said when you leave at 12 lets just make that your last hour here. It was right at christmas time, and he knew i was going through a divorce and trying to take care of my daughter alone. Would legal action be succesful? what kind of evidence or proof would i need to move foward? what should i do? Or should i go directly to the owner?

Re: Fired unfairly, sexually harassed
You should discuss your situation with an attorney immediately as there are strict statutes of limitation that apply to your scenario. Potential liability may be affected by the size of the business; however, if your employment was terminated because you would not submit to his sexual advances, you likely have a legal claim against the business. I would invite you to contact me by telephone or email ([email protected]) to discuss you situation further.
