Legal Question in Employment Law in Kentucky
Can a Kentucky employer force me to install a trigger lock on a handgun stored in my vehicle? My employer is wanting all employees that are carrying a handgun, stored in their private vehicle, to register this fact with them, install a trigger lock on the gun, and sign a document to this effect. Can they force us to do this?

Your employer could require that no handguns be present on their property at all. I'd say if they're going to permit you to store a handgun in your vehicle, it is within their purview to require that certain safety measures be taken so that they do not end up with any liability for someone injured on their property, which would include their employee parking lot.
