Legal Question in Employment Law in Kentucky

non-payment of vacation pay after termination

Can I file a suit in small claims court in Georgia (my state of residence) against my Kentucky employer? He fired me by phone on the last day of my pre-approved and authorized vacation and then refused to pay me for that week. I filed for and was awarded unemployment in Tennessee (that is where he paid unemployment and I think it was because the benefit amount was much less than in Kentucky or Georgia). I worked in outside sales (account manager) and did work predominantly in Tennessee with some accounts in Georgia. I reported to Kentucky office once a month. I reside in Georgia. Tennessee does not have small claims court and Tennesse attorneys are not interested due to the amount of money involved. Please advise - I would like to file suit in small claims court in Georgia myself. Can I do this? Thank you.

You will probably have to file where the company resides - Kentucky.
