Legal Question in Employment Law in Kentucky
They said I quit, but gave me 2 weeks severance pay, even tho I didn't quit, I didn't get KY unemplyoment because they said I quit, talked to VP of fortune 500 company said they would not appleal. Now I get a letter in the mail offering me $ 2,800.00 to sin and they will pay my cobra for 3 months, BUT YET they said I quit, part of signing the paper is giving up my rights to sue the company. What should I do, take the money, ask for more money or sue them. I was on FMLA and the day I was let go I asked to go home and they wouldn't let me and raised a big stink.....suggestions.

Go get a consultation with an attorney in your area who practices employment law before you sign anything. Many attorneys offer free consultations. I can't give you legal advice, I can only answer general questions about the law, without knowing all of the facts and reviewing all of the documents.
