Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Kentucky
Living With Ex-Husband
My husband (ex) kept our house 3 years ago when we divorced. Before our divorce was even final, he wanted me to move back ''home''. So, now I live with him in ''his'' house.
I would like to know what my rights are concerning this situation.
Can he ''make'' me move out on the spur of the moment, or would I be able to have the time an eviction process takes to move?
95% of the furnishings here (including a grand piano) belong to me, and it would be a very time consuming ordeal to move, besides the fact that I would have no other home to go to. (I recently sold my home I bought after the divorce, since I live here and it has sat empty for the past few years).
This concerns me very much, due to the fact that he recently got mad and told me to ''get out by tomorrow or I will have your stuff moved outside and change the locks''. Of course, he changed his mind the next morning, but it made me think about my situation here, and the fact that he could literally put me out on the street, literally homeless at this point.
What are my rights, if any?

Re: Living With Ex-Husband
You need to check with a KY landlord-tenant or family law attorney. My guess is that if you are officially divorced, you may be evicted if you haven't paid the agreed on "rent" whatever that is.
You may want to try and work out an arrangement with ex-husband or get a family mediator to hash it out (without court intervention.)
