Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Kentucky

Raising the Rent

Does a Landlord have to give a tenant at least a 30 day notice before raising the rent? I don't think a 2 week notice would be legal, because the landlord could unreasonably raise the rent to where you couldn't afford it and it would not be sufficient time to find another place and move.

Thank you,

Re: Raising the Rent

I would need to see the lease and research KY law statutes to provide you with advice on this.

My hunch is that it must be at least a full rental period (30 days usually) and given before the end of the month in which notice is effective.(For example-notice given TODAY June 30 would be effective for Aug 1)
