Refund of lease deposit

What is the time limit that a landlord has before he has to refund a former tennent's deposit? I moved out of the apartment about 30 days ago and have yet to hear anything from the landlord, via phone or postal service.

Usually 30 days. Make a written demand by cert.letter (cc: to your attorney) and give him 5 business days deadline.
