I don't know of any law prohibiting house pets on commercial property. Maybe there's a crazy local ordinance prohibiting pets in the workplace. You might check with local government to be sure. But generally, I'd say if your boss wants to sit there stroking his white Persian like some Bond villain, he's probably doing so legally.
