Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Kentucky

Is it legal for police officer to...

My son was brought home at 1 am for curfew violation. While te officer was sitting in the drive of my house, I guess he ran my name I guess to verify my address and I the mom lived where my son brought him. But while running my name, my mug shot popped up and the officer proceeded to tell my minor son of my prior arrest and what I was arrested for. I have never ever disclosed this info to my son nor had I intended on sharing this info with him. Since then, my parenting has been questioned by my son with him hurling comments at me saying ur no better than, u have been arrested yourself. And also throws the charge up in my face. I understand it is public record. But I also don't feel it is the police officer place to disclose such info to my minor child. This has caused much with my crediblity with my son and parenting. Parenting my son has become much more difficult since him learning this about me. My main ? Is did officer violate any law and of there is any recourse for me

You should file a complaint with the police department, at the very least. You probably don't have any legal recourse, however, it wouldn't hurt to get a consultation with a local attorney. Most attorneys do not charge for initial consultations. An attorney could at least assist you in making your complaint to the department.
