Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Kentucky

I had an oil change done at a quick lube place. That includes checking fluids. 5 Weeks ago. Yesterday I paid 1900.00 for a transmission. The transmission place advised me to check my fluids more and I would not have transmission problems. I said that I just had my oil changed 5 weeks ago and it included a fluid check. I looked at the recipt and it said Transmission, checked. The transmission place said that either the car was low and they didn't check or they drained the fluid and did not refill it. What should I do?

Go see an attorney, and save all of the parts. You'll need a mechanic willing to testify that the problem was definitely that the service station did not change or add fluids and that is what caused the damage (not that there wasn't already damage and the recent fluid change was too little too late). If your mechanic cannot definitively say that, there won't be much of a case.
