Legal Question in Military Law in Kentucky
Awol for 2 month
My friend has been A wol for 2 month he was goin to turn himself in but the police got to him 1st. He is know in navy brig and has no idea what is goin on.He was also in prosses of gettin kicked out the paper work was taking long so he went awol. I was wondering if anyone knew how long he can get in brig before he actually gets out to go home.

The short answer is...it depends. It depends on whether the Navy is going to merely keep him in there to finish processing the paperwork, or if they will prefer and refer court-martial charges against him for the AWOL plus whatever else he was being discharged for (assuming he wasn't already court-martialed for those earlier offenses (if they were indeed offenses and he wasn't being discharged for other reasons such as medical)).
