Legal Question in Personal Injury in Kentucky

What to do without representation?

Location: Kentucky

I recently had a disturbing experience where my friends took me out for my bachelor party, to a local strip club, where I was beaten with a belt during a club experience that they purchased. During the experience I asked the dancer several times to stop & complained about the force used. Instead of the experience being fun & maybe slightly humiliating, it was painful. Within minutes afterwards I had welts and blood lines. The next day I awoke with bruises across the rear, but mainly in a 9''X5'' area on the back of my right thigh. It ruined the nights festivities since I had trouble sitting & walking. It is painful to sit & my wedding is 5 days away. I spoke with the club owner who was not only unsympathetic, but was rude, so I began documenting the bruises. I have spoken with my lawyer and he states that it's negligience, a tort and probably criminal offense, but that he nor probably any other lawyer will take it due to the small monetary return that is involved. I would like monetary compensation, but more so I want to ensure that it does not happen again. There were no safe guards in place to prevent this event. Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

Re: What to do without representation?

This is a tough one, but one that I might be interested in talking with you about -- if only because you have been told by other lawyers that they don't want your case. I have experience in federal and state litigation, including criminal matters, and would be willing to talk with you (or exchange emails).

If you are interested in another opinion, with no obligation by EITHER of us, contact me. Feel free to take a look at my website first: www.MyFederalLawyer.com.
