Legal Question in Personal Injury in Kentucky

Side swiped, What now?

I was hit while making deliveries for work. Since this is Work related and workman's comp is supposed to handle everything, Do you recomend having a lawyer. Am I entitled to anything besides them paying my medical bills?

Re: Side swiped, What now?

I need more information on the nature of the accident. Generally though, if a third party not associated with your employment causes an accident (i'm assuming a car accident), then you can maintain both a workers comp. action (if within the scope of employment) and a civil action against the third party. However you may not sue your employer civilly if injured on the job unless the employer acted with "deliberate intent" to injure you. Feel free to call or write and give me more details. I'd be happy to advise you further.
